Otherwise it's amazing on normal carpet. You'll be shocked how much it picks up. Espeically if you have pets. The attachments work well too.
My only other complaint is the plastic it's made out of is kind of cheap. It's pretty creaky for a high-end vacuum.

The only Dyson vacuums I recommend these days are the stick/handheld vacuums. They're the best in the market for power, size, and ergonomics but not exactly on price. That said, this price is really cheap compared to what I tested against, and even cheaper than the Shark I bought.
