I do recommend getting the stand if you can also afford that. You can also add weights to this as you progress vs being g stuck at the lower weights of many of the twist dials.

I do like that they are made in the USA, and include the knurled grips (which is worth about a hundred bucks). I also do kind of prefer the more blocky shape of the USA over the curved shape of the non-USA version.
Not sure if the Elite USA is slick enough, or should I hold out for the next Woot deal on the cheaper imported version with rubber grips?
