One small issue is that the base is plastic, so in between sets when adjusting weights, you have to place the dumbell back in the base, rotate and select the new weight. When this happens, because the base is light, it often moves around which can prevent weight changes being done one handed.
Other than that, these are great.
get something like this locally or on sale.
then once u know u r going to keep lifting buy a pair of quick adjustable locally too.

I just got a pair of these from Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/CAP-Ba...2803885255 and I love them. I like them way better than the bowflex variable weight dumbbells.
