I have it. Super handy. I wouldn't try to chop down a tree with it, but i use it to cut down big branches to put in the green waste/garbage can.

Makita batteries work on it

For $20, why not? My wife will either like it, or try to take my hand off with it. Maybe both.

I second this, I heard the newer model is self oiling. Mine isn't but still a little oil and you can reliably cut a 3-4" limb up no problem. Battery lasts a decent amount and charges pretty quick. Between the two batteries I was clearing brush at a cabin for several hours.

Real run time with batteries are like 10 mins of cutting. But I was able to take down a moderate sized plum tree with it. Replacement chains are about ~$12 for 3, this should come with an extra. So might as well get a whole new unit and practice sharpening chains. I used one to take down an old deck too, faster and less jittery than my super sawzall, just don't hit nails. Does a number on tree of heaven and invasive weed-trees.

Well I bought the impact wrench because I need one. Guess I will pull the trigger here. Should work better than my sawsall when cutting down small trees.

Local goodwill had amazon returns with this saw along with pole extension. Best $15 I've spent. No bush or tree limb is safe in my yard.

Please get good gloves with this, which will likely run you the same $ or more. Gloves that are supplied are garbage, and saw runs late after releasing trigger. Great saw that will mess you up if not protected..

Definitely agree. These things are awesome but they are not a toy. Things can very easily go wrong. Use carefully
