Is it just hit or miss with washer/dryers? I have a LG set that's 12 years old i got scratched and dented for $600 and no problems.

Is it really worth paying a premium on this?

the premium you pay for this, over a more basic washer in the $500-$600 range, is the more sophisticated wash cycles. extras such as steaming, quick wash, etc. There's a tradeoff between sophistication and complexity, and things breaking, so there's that to think about.

on another note, anyone who owns this 400 series electrolux want to chime in on their experiences?
