I don't really follow these things but I think I recall hearing about the Japanese Yen being rather weak at times so if that's the case it would seem to affect the exchange rate.

Bic Camera, a large retailer of electronics in Japan, has it for 13,000 yen, or about $81. As others have said, $50 on sale isn't that hard to imagine, especially if it's not selling well, although this is Nintendo we're talking about...

Yeah but do you want that wild breath in your face laugh out loud

Man what a boring looking clock, they couldn't put a more Nintendo spin on it? Like make it look like a pipe or koopa or something?

It's literally playing music and scenes from games but I see what you mean. Could use a little more exterior pizazz.

Yep, saw that too. Thought about getting it for our kid for his 6th bday, but if it's all in Japanese, it might not go well.

People downvoting you about the tariffs as if it's not 100% true. But remember, we're all getting richer because of this, he said so. The stuff I actually buy all costing more? That's not important

Anyway yeah it's kind of an overpriced clock lol. Nintendo seeing if they can use a bunch of nostalgia and IP audio to sell a clock for $100 was a move I was not expecting
