They periodically run promos like that when they're trying to clear old stock.
Then someone else mentioned (forgot if it was the 80 or 60 thread) that if you start to process the return, at the very last prompt, it offers you the price difference .. so for once it actually pricematched itself.

I travel a ton, there are minor signs of wear and tear starting to appear. Happy to have the backup. I hope it pops up for everyone again come Nov 2026

The only minor annoyance with this bag is on regular airlines I like to keep my foot space clear and put it in the overhead bin, but have on multiple occasions got asked to put it under the seat. I have another bag with the same volume but longer in length so it appears larger and doesn't get called out in the overhead bin. The compact appearance of this bag can be both a blessing and a curse lol.
