This was as low as $500 before the tariffs. I'm not a huge fan, it's very heavy. But on Nikon DSLR it's the best option for budget 500mm.

I beg to differ. I think the sigma 150-600mm lens deal offers a lot for the price it goes on sale for when we're talking about budget DSLR

Yeah, I was just talking about Nikon's lineup. Definitely some good 3rd party zooms.
