Simple green is not safe for aluminum. Sure, it can probably be diluted to a safe ratio but if it is not rinsed completely, from cracks and cervices it will cause a problem. There are too many alumimum safe alternatives to settle for Simple Green. I use S100 Total Cycle Cleaner. The brake dust wipes away effortlessly.
