Would you recommend this for travel gaming with Switch or Steam Deck in flights or trains?

got these last time and I am really impressed with the bang for the buck. They are great for travel or for lounging in bed, but I don't think they'll replace a monitor. The whole equivalent to a 135" screen claim is based on a tv in your living room and you're on the couch. So it's quite "large" but you're far away from it, if that makes sense. It's not going to fill your full peripheral vision, but it's going to beat the pants off watching on your phone screen

A big complaint by productivity users is that visual acuity for text (especially across the entire FOV) isn't so great. Can you speak to that at all?
This is exactly what I use it for. My organization uses Google Workspace, so being able to use it with my phone lets me stay productive without constantly pulling out my laptop. The text clarity is excellent. My only real complaint is that every time I sneeze or make a sudden movement, the entire view shakes with me. Ok another issue, the 3d immersion, I have had no success in utilizing.

I bought these a few weeks ago, and for the life of me, I can't get it to fit on my face so that I can see the whole display. The bottom of the screen and the bottom corners are cut off from view.
Maybe good for narrower faces. 🤷 ♂️

I tried them and ended up returning. Cool concept, but unless you have a specific use case where this is your only real option, I'd rather watch on anything else.

Maybe if I were a frequent flyer, or some other thing were I was stuck sitting for long periods of time.

My bright idea was: Use a samsung phone, and then whip out bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so no matter where I might be - I could have a large desktop in front of me to do some work on. It for sure would not be good for that sort of thing.
I would thing with Samsung Dex you could do this.

I use this to watch TV with my head tilted all the way back like I'm staring at the ceiling. Great for neck relief.

Bought this last time it was this price and it came in pristine condition. Might pick up the mobile dock for usage with a PS3.

For anyone who is sensitive to scan lines, you might be bother by the image but I've learned to accept it.

Been wanting to try these with Steam Link on my phone, but brand new is close to $300. After tax, the refurb is half that. I'll bite.

Thanks OP!

Bought this last deal. Heads up there's a possibility you might need to return as a heads up mine had stereo sound issues possibly from loose wire as it depended on where the frame was on my head. It worked fine otherwise and was nice to use but felt more like a novelty and not something I could practically use routinely but would be great for a plane/train or something. Would definitely not pay full price for one at this point. Lots of influencer content online that is misleading and makes it seem cooler than it is. The software is painfully difficult to use I was not able to get it to work well with my pc

How is visibility outside in sunlight where a laptop screen gets washed out?

These are about 2-3 generations from being truly usable. Hardware and software are innovating fast in this space and these are already 1-2 years old. I found them to cause eyestrain pretty quickly and be less than comfortable.
