I'm always hesitant ever since I drove 45 min to look at and open box excellent OLED. Turns out the box was so open it didn't exist. The associate tried to me assure me until the manager came out and confessed it was a floor model that was on the floor longer than he had been.. (several years).
my IPad on the other hand was in like new condition.

I whole heartedly assume customers are returning these mice with the dreaded phantom click. Would avoid like the plague unless you know howto fix the click sensor

Absolutely true. And agreed. Not an impossible fix though obviously.

I will stick to wired versions of mice for gaming until these crazy clicks and weird issues go away for wireless mice.

Going to add my thoughts as a previous Razer user who used Deathadders since the original back in the mid 2000s. Razer mice build quality is pretty meh and their 2 year warranty honestly should be longer. I had a V2 Pro crap out under warranty and got it replaced, only to have that replacement V2 Pro also crap out on me. Maybe this is standard policy but when the replacement V2 Pro crapped out, Razer told me that it was ineligible to be RMAed as the warranty period starts with the original mouse and wasn't reset when they sent me a replacement mouse. Between the shitty software, the questionable build quality, and then this, I gave up completely on their mice. Like when they work, I loved it but if you like an ergonomic mouse, there are plenty of better options out there and personally, I'd worry about issues at this price point.

I just opened a spare Logitech G604 I had in inventory, before realizing they're going for like $300 sealed now. I paid maybe $40 for them. It's not really the price point, none of them are worth even $100. Omron for years now has supplied Chinese made switches, instead of Japanese ones. I keep replacing switches for customers, they keep failing. I can't remember which specific issues this one has, but it's all of them I see, Razer and Logitech. If you have found a decent one, I'm all ears, and need to restock.

To me, country of origin doesn't matter any more, it's more who within that country is doing the manufacturing. Nothing Japan does in the PC space interests me anymore, so other East Asian countries like Taiwan or Korea but mostly China is where it's at. China absolutely dominates the accessory market (particularly mechanical keyboards) and now has the design knowledge and manufacturing skills to make high end components or finished products.
I've been using a Lamzu Maya X for the last 2 years and I've had zero issues with my only complaint being battery life. Other brands like Pulsar , Mchose, Zowie, Endgear, ATK all have really good reviews and mice at different price points without the gimmicks of Logitech or Razer. If I had buy one of those brands, it'd consider something like the Pro X2 Superstrike just because the tech is fascinating but I'm just a normal person and none of those tech advances matter when the meatbag attached to it can't utilize it. Plus, I bet this tech will be available in other brands in the near future.

No, you're right country doesn't matter, it was more that Omron is still in Japan, and either doesn't or can't control the quality the same for those manufactured in China. I've seen it firsthand, with replacing so many switches. I'll check out those brands you mentioned, I'm not familiar with any of them.

Ah gotcha. Yea good luck on all of this. Like I said, I really like my Maya X but it's actually more expensive than certain variations of the DA V3 pro and the white variant can be had new for $80 at BB. But then there are things like the Mchose L7 Pro or the ATK X1 or the Rawm Leviathan V4 that all come in at the same price or cheaper and seem to be really good value for money. If I had to do it again, I'd still look into Lamzu but I'd probably look harder into Pulsar Xlite, ATK Z1, or even a Zowie EC. For the time being, I'm steering clear of western peripheral makers until things improve.

Logitech, Razer, etc., they've gone mad with margin expectations, and aren't selling anyway. I'll look more at those you mentioned. Sub $100 or even $50 would be ideal if I'm going to buy many. They all seem to use the same sensor, so it's mostly about the switches for me. I think I remember Zowie, being a BenQ brand, but the others are new to me.
