I haven't ridden a bike since my teens. I am in my late 40s now and was considering biking to get some exercise and stay fit. Is this a decent bike start off with ? I don't need anything fancy, just something safe and comfortable

Spend just a little bit more on an Ozark Trail G1 Explorer from Wal-Mart. The flatbar version is $250 and you get so much more bike for the money.
I wouldn't recommend a Nishi--y Pueblo at any price point. Heavy steel bike, lowest tier components. Buy something better used. Equivalent of a Huffy/Hyper Walmart bike

you deserve better. this will never shift or stop well. consider a quality used bike or increase your budget

Yeah, this thing defines the absolute bottom of the barrel in terms of materials (35 pounds?!) and components. If $200 is your absolute ceiling you would be better off asking around your neighborhood to see if someone has an old bike gathering dust in their garage that you could take off their hands.
I don't know where to begin with you 🤣....ok, let me give it a shot...... It looks like the person wrote the difference of $58 between the bike at Walmart and the Nishiki bike. Does that make sense to you?🤣🤣

Holy moley! Rim brakes and front derailleur? This is a BSO and should be $89 at most, I would not trust the store assembly either. Yep, I'm a bikesnob.
