The no-longer-made "Type 1" version of this light was 500/250, sold up through 2020. The current stocks sold everywhere are apparently the new version, "Type 2" that is 1000/300. Looks to me like Amazon was lazy and just added the new version's info in the product description without removing the old version info that's still below it, with some of the unchanged features duplicated in the text.
I suppose it's possible somebody could get stuck with an old-stock version, in which case I'd return/exchange it.

Nice light. As a diy guy, i find myself using this a lot for DIY work as well as non diy work. Nice to have when camping, digging around in bottom of car, Walking around the yard at night searching for kids things. All sorts of uses. I like that you can stand it on the battery as well to make it hands free
