I know people have their frustrations with eufy but for the price I've been very happy not having to deal with a subscription. Ran away from Ring and yeah there are quirks and the AI could use some work but it does 90% of the job. Notifications are snappy and loading speeds are great.

Now if someone rings the doorbell, i do get the basic notification right away but preview doesn't work 50% of the times, if i tap the notification to open to open live view from the app, the video feed will just be stuck on loading forever... unless i force close the app, and re open... this has been an issue forever and is well documented on their support forum, but it's still an issue. Definitely has a whiff of planned obsolescence as they definitely kept blaming user internet, hub location, or just buy new products...
So now my family knows to not use the notification to open live view... but you have to manually open the app, go to the door bell for live view...
Also their detection seems to be backward, i've gotten more consistent notification of people leaving the house than approaching it...
Also I've definitely notice their app becoming more and more bloated. Slowly over the time, they've added more and more marketing, shopping and subscription push to the app, and the app just got slower and slower... because it has to load new garbage marketing every time you open it.
On a positive note, their price is definitely competitive, and the experience feels fairly premium for the price.
I have their first gen eufy cam with solar panel hooked up and those just work, i do disabled notification on those so maybe that's why they always work when viewing from the app.
