I bought this for the two batteries. Run time is great considering I know have three batteries for my two leaf blowers and weed Wacker.

80v doesn't have much availability. I would be hesitant to buy the 80v product line. 40v has more options.

630 CFM is unimpressive and easily attainable power from a 40v blower.

I had older version of this kit and the batteries don't last long both in terms of runtime and longevity. Not sure if the latest gen is any better

This is an utter nonsense.

For 80v you have very wide variety of Kobalt/Greenworks/Snapper brands, all made by Greenworks.

Between these 3 brands, there is hardly any garden tool that is missing from variety. There is 15-min mod required on batteries and battery compartments to make the tools and batteries from these brands compatible with each other.

You make it sound like a batteries are interchangeable?

And, the lack of in-store availability of the 80v lineup - does anything ever go on sale?

Glad you caught my drift...
Regarding 80v going on sale... If you are not banned on Google or SD search, try it, you may be surprised.

Definitely are with small mods to the battery compartment. Run my 82v snapper utility cart, my 80v Greenworks lawn mower, and new 80v Kobalt hedge trimmer all with same batteries.

I have the push mower, two of the leaf blowers and weed trimmer in the 80v line. Running them for 12+ years with only one battery fail. I do cycle the batteries to prevent non use drainage. I also run the batteries to the last bar (or tool cuts off) prior to charging. This blower is decent for small clearing tasks of dry leaves & debris: deck, driveway, roof top/ gutters and the road side yard. For anything wet or larger areas, I default to the 2-cycle blower for efficiency.
