I've got a handful of the Sonos speakers, but I can't wrap my head around $900 for the Arc. I've talked to people who have it and love it, but for that price, you could get a 'good' 7.1 receiver and speakers. That's just where my head goes. Has anyone experienced both, and can speak to one vs the other?

Agreed that Sonos is roughly 30% overpriced. I always wait for deep discounts before jumping in. I'm happy with my Gen 1 Arc and will wait until that deal comes along before upgrading.

The downside to getting a "good" receiver and speakers, is you have to look at the "good" receiver and speakers and wires. While the spouse put up with that hot mess for awhile, it was me who upgraded to the better looks and more precise sound. All the aforementioned spouse said was "where did all the sh.. go"
Sonos is luxury stuff, just wait around for Black Friday and see how good things can be. I upgraded from the arc to the ultra, and have 300's for rears. Arcs in the bedroom now.

Sonos is NOT luxury stuff LMFAOOOOOO. No one that's even moderately wealthy is putting any off the shelf system in any room in their home including the bathroom. This is overpriced electronics made to trick people into thinking they are getting a "luxurious" experience just like Bowers & Wilkens charging $700 and up for their bluetooth headphones that are literal junk. Even on sale, Sonos is not worth it.

Any bluetooth headphones that are worth their price?
