This deal isn't bad at all consider the crazy prices for a newer build. A couple years ago this cpu could be had for around 160. Mb goes for about 60$. only thing is the ram 32gb lowest was 40$ back then. So all in all this is a solid deal if you are close to a mc.

How is this a good deal when micro center is carrying 7600x* bundle for $350. RAM is 16GB but I would assume it's a step in the right direction and a path to upgrade in the future. Also faster components

That AM4 platform is so hot right now. AM4. There's actually more AM4 boards at my local Microcenter than I thought. Probably 8-10. But only the 5500 when in stock or the 5800xt. I bought it to troubleshoot/upgrade an older pc. It will now be my emulation pc. They just released I believe the 5800x3d. Ridiculous price on it, but there has to be a demand for AM4.

I just spent this much $ upgrading my optiplex sff to be able to run an rtx 5060 lp.

Kinda feeling some buyers remorse seeing these deals.

This does not seem like that good of a deal; Microcenter also has a Ryzen 7500x3d + mobo+ 16 GB of DDR5 RAM combo for the same price. The 7500x3d is notably faster than the 5800XT in games, and will be pretty similar in most productivity software. The 7500x3d combo also has a lot more room for future upgrades.

4-5 year old higher end X570 mother boards are going insane right now.

The chip industry created this shortage by not beginning the new correct line of fab plants 5 years earlier and now profiteer off of their mis-steps.. they knew or should have known the 5k% increase in ram and ssd storage was coming-- even with the international trade issues looming.
