Sure, if you have an amp or receiver to power them. These are passive speakers and don't have built in amplification.

Yep. As said you will need an amp for them. I used them for a few years with my PC until I went in a different direction.

They've been around for ages. They were their own (Danish) company for decades, then sold to Klipsch in 2005. You can kind of consider them Klipsch's budget line. Solid for the money/starter set tier.

Any kind of Amp will work. When I used them I had them hooked up to my receiver.

They're the cheap way into surround setups. Definitely not audiophile, but they do make sound. As a statement for their quality: they used to sell these as part of entire surround systems for $189.

This $100/pair is very common. They're never the price claimed in the OP.

For Home Theater setup i want to use these as 2.1 setup -
I have sub and 2 small 3" speakers i want to replace with these ?
Currently i m feeling speakers is loud but distorting on high volume.

Is the improvements in sound good for 10x20 room ?
