After one of these failed us in one snowy day and locked us out forcing us to hire a locksmith to break in, I will never buy another one of these Yale lock without a backup keyhole again. The battery warning light was not on so we had no idea why it failed. The tech support seems well informed of their issues and all they could offer is sending you a replacement of the same model. A quick google search returns a lot of similar reviews. For the sake of your sanity, and your wallet (because locksmith ain't cheap), I wholeheartedly don't recommend any Yale products without physical keyhole backup.

This model has been discontinued
Mine has been fine for 6 years. Knock on wood.
It starts warning you about the battery months before it goes dead. There is also an emergency battery connection on the outside bottom

We tried 5 9V batteries from 3 different brands and none worked to jump start the panel, it was absolutely dead. Even the clerk at the supermarket was taking pity in our situation after I returned for the 3rd time. I wish it was an easy fix like that, would've saved us a $600 bill from the locksmith and all the apology texts we had to send to our neighbors for the loud noises of drilling a lock open at 3am. We've had ours for 4 years and never had any issues prior to this. I hope you never have to find out like us.
After having it since it was announced years ago, it failed last week and locked me out. It says that the code couldn't be used at the moment, any of the codes set. It got also disconnected from the Internet so no way to access it, or get inside my house. I had to hire a locksmith to drill and brake it. Talked to Google support and they said the only option was the locksmith. I'll never get a smart lock without a physical key. This worked great, but risking being locked out of your house for no reason and solution doesn't make sense.
Nearly 8 years on mine, still going. If it fails, we have a garage entrance. For our life, it is a HUGE convenience over a physical lock. However, if I didn't have a garage and back door entrance, I would not have installed this. I don't expect it to last forever, so I may just pick this up for backup.
