That battery is pretty small too for what is likely a 100-150lb bike.
My biggest gripe with this style of trike how dangerous it can be. Very awkward to have the two back wheels on uneven terrain and feel the bike throw you side to side due to how high up you are sitting. Feels counterintuitive to counter lean in that fashion to me, assuming you already know how to ride a 2 wheeled bike.
This is gonna be slow and very little torque. You will be struggling going uphill.
To say the least. I Honestly don't believe this would make it up a hill with a person on it. That is one tiny motor for a bike like this.. You might think it's okay for a while. As long as you understand this is really just a pedal assist machine and not good for leisurely rides just using the throttle. But I bet, after a short while you would have buyer's remorse wishing you had gone with something bigger. Especially if you have hills in your area.
My little 500w scooter that surges up to 750 goes up the hill with me (180lb) and my 7 yearl old daughter at about 7-8 mph when the battery is fresh. More like 6 after we have gone a few miles. And that is an extremely light scooter. Tops out about 18-19 on flat concrete with us. If I lift up back tire and hit the throttle, it shoes 26mph is the top. So I know there is no lock on the throttle. It is just underpowered...
Yeah per my experience they are best at 10mph or less, and still more novelty than safe bicycle. If you really want the benefits of a trike I'd look at recumbent models, either delta or tadpole is MUCH safer than this.

I don't understand some of you people's line of thought... I get it that some of these E bike/scooter units are grossly overpowered. Like tiny scooters that can go 40-50 mph. Put that in the hands of a 12 or 13 year old and you're just begging for a disaster.
But why on earth would a competent grown adult not be able to properly drive this at 18 or 19 mph? That's not all that fast. And if you don't take any really sharp turns at full throttle you would be just fine. Some suggesting 10 mph?? Lol. That's not much faster than some riding lawnmowers....

You vastly overestimate the decision-making abilities of adults

Because the handling and weight distribution of upright trikes like this absolutely sucks, it should not be ridden more than 5-10mph. If you need a trike and want to go faster, then get a recumbent.

You're totally right. Let's just bubble wrap everyone and mandatory helmets for all. Even when just walking around. They should lock these things to go 2-3 mph. That way everyone would be more safe...
