The big issue with this rice cooker is that the inner lid and steam cap are not removable for cleaning. This may be a deal-breaker for some.
Right now, however, the market for rice cookers not made in China is pretty inflated. If buying new, this is probably the best bang for buck model available.

Zojurushi died from user error and tried this out, the water level indicators are grey and impossible to see without shining a light on it and didn't cook the rice nearly as good as my old zojurushi. Returned it for another zojurushi

This rice cooker is poorly designed. There is no steam/condensation basket. The lid does not have mechanism to be removed and cleaned. Buy another model and consider 2 functions above.

Bought this a couple months ago. It has been great. The smart logic works. My rice does not stick or burn. Been using rice makes for decades. This has been my favorite. I know, it has a soldered in battery. When it dies in a few years, not a big deal for me since I do not use the timer mode. Cleaning has not been an issue.

Got this a few weeks ago and it, well, makes rice. Can't complain. The hard to read indicators aren't really an issue because we measure separately depending on the rice type. But if we put in the right amount of water for the rice, it cooks it just perfectly good rice. The stay warm feature works great and keeps the rice usable for quite a while.

I think it slots in nicely between the real cheap models and the higher end fuzzy logic models. Realistically it doesn't make sense to compare to $200+ rice makers. This isn't that. It's a significant upgrade from the really cheap models though at least in limited experience.

Def a buy!

Owned for a year, only hand wash, wipe lid off everytime, literally still like new and just absolutely perfect rice and whatever else my heart desires.

Don't freak out over not getting a Z..

I have it. It's fine for a $80 rice cooker. Of course it's not going to be as good as a $200+ rice cooker. Non-removable steam cap, non-removable inner lid, and the hard to see water level indicators are annoying but I got over it. A de facto lifetime warranty at Costco made those annoyances fine for me to bear.

Should be noted that they switched from non-stick to ceramic coated inner pots last year. The ceramic coated ones have issues with the indicators. Use a flashlight or measure out your water ratio with the cup you're using to scoop the rice. I find that since I rinse my rice in a rice strainer (as everybody should do so they don't damage their inner pot) it's easy to pour in the correct water. Just account a little for the water still in the rice after strained.

I have this one and it makes great rice. Like others have said, the only bummer is the top gets gross after a while and is not super easy to clean.

We had a Tiger rice cooker from 1992-2018 when we had a house fire. The insurance company pretty much totalled the house so we got a new one. These things just keep working.
