If you have a Navy Exchange online account, go to the NEX website and click on the Home Depot banner that's half way down the page. It will take you to a dedicated HD website where you may (and in this case) get the military discount ($43.29 exchange pricing) and the purchase will be TAX FREE with FREE DELIVERY since you will make your actual purchase via the NEX website. Very simple process to get an additional savings. Hope that helps.

I'm going to take the risk (not a huge one) ordering Per HD's page this image shows the flex shaft is included https://inlinecontent.thdstatic.c...26340A.jpg . Who knows, but decent deal regardless.

I've been using a "Durabuilt" Target branded version for years 15, it works, but has always been a little janky. A legit Dremel should be a decent upgrade.

FYI, military discount isn't taking off here but with a lot of branded major sale items at HD (Dremel, Ryboi, etc) it tends not to.

Edit: per a 2020 customer question / answer someone asked if the flex shaft was included, another customer replied "No it did not." (past tense) If I don't get the flex shaft I'll probably complain to HD to see if they throw me a gift card....especially if their product page has been wrong for 6 freaking years Wink

The 4200 is also on sale, but lots of 1 star reviews, looks like the 4000 is the one to get, especially w/Mil/Vet discount.

this is the best hack for military/vets that is by far slept on! I mean the standard 10% military discount + NO sales tax and free delivery! this can save you so much money, it's unbelievable

Very cool and thank you! I have a shopmyexchange account (deal doesn't appear be there though Frown ) but not the Navy one, I'll have to sign up!

Edit: Signed up for an account, super painless and didn't even have to verify. I can only assume they cross ref'd my email and last 4 of my SS#. I also love the fact it appears you can buy darn near anything via HD by this method tax free and with a discount. That's about to be my new hobby Wink
