This Softsoap antibacterial refill deal stands out for low unit cost and a scent option beyond the usual Costco original. The 2 pack works out cheaper per ounce than several Costco and Sam's Club comparisons, and the benzalkonium chloride formula is still used in the United States. The main cautions are checkout confusion, with the order sometimes showing a single bottle instead of the advertised 2 pack, and the bottles being smaller than Costco packaging. It is a solid value if the sizing and listing quirks are acceptable.
Common Questions (4)
At about $5.99 for 100 oz total, this works out to roughly 5.9-6¢ per ounce, which is cheaper than a cited Costco 2-pack at 7.5¢/oz and close to Sam's at about 5¢/oz. It is a better unit price than Costco in the examples given, though the gap versus Sam's is small.
The listing can show checkout quirks where the price appears to apply to one 50-oz bottle instead of the advertised 2-pack, so it is worth verifying the final cart and invoice. The order may still be a decent deal, but the displayed quantity and pricing can be inconsistent.
Yes, the bottles are reported to be much smaller than Costco packaging, so the 2-pack is not a direct size match. Costco is described as carrying 80-oz refills, while this deal is for 50-oz bottles.
No, it uses benzalkonium chloride (BZK), not triclosan. BZK is still used in the U.S., including in hospital settings, so the active ingredient is different from the older triclosan concern.

Normally buy the Aquarium one at BJ's or Costco. Read some amazon reviews that Softsoap quality is not as good on Amazon compared to BJ"s or Costco? Is there any truth to that? Read some comments like it felt different.
I believe it cost $10 for a 2 pack at BJ's and $12 at Costco? So it's $6 only for 2 but is the quality going to be the same?

It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous that these companies hide behind numbers when they know the public is illiterate. On behalf of all the victims we've commenced a class action.
