Or just make your own nfc cards for a fraction of the price
Can't make 22 NFC cards for $7, it costs more in supplies--I know because I bought the supplies to make all coin-sized versions. Nothing you make yourself would have any resale value. But then why make them and not use another NFC-capable device? Or use emuiibo? We buy them for the figures.

You either do not know what you are doing or do not know where to buy the nfc cards/coins if you cannot make 22 for under $7

Ok, say you make them for $3.... I mean... skip a half a coffee at Starbucks one time and get the professionally made ones? For a beginner I doubt between googling and whatever else you're going to make 22 cards in less than ~30 minutes and at minimum wage like $15/hour you're already losing vs just getting these premade.I'm all for being thrifty, but unless it's a passion project and/or you want to make more amiibo cards for other games, just get the cards at this price?!?

It's doable, IF, and I mean big IF, you're willing to roll the dice shopping on Aliexpress. I've bought 100-packs of cards and coins from there in the last and it brought the price down to about 50 cents per amiibo.
That being said, my track-record with Aliexpress is about 60% delivered and 40% refunds after their painfully long return windows. I had to wait 60 days a couple of times for refunds. But it has been a 100% refund rate. But, all the Ntag215 were delivered. It was other studf that got lost.

I don't get it in the comments... People either buy it because it's a collective item for the buyers, or people makes their own amiibo and totally ignores this post. What are we arguing for? You can't stop someone who wants to buy it even though you gave them free nfc tags and tools and tutorial, and vice versa. Amiibos (including the cards) were designed as collector items after all.
