Might be one of the last tools still made in USA by Milwaukee

I used these to cut the hinges off of a reversed security door recently. Cut right through, better than I expected.

Had the opposite experience. Took down an old wooden shed, hit a few nails, blade was worthless after.

They just built a factory in Wisconsin a few years ago to make screwdrivers and pliers. Their multi-tool blades, sawzall blades, and hole saws have been made in Mississippi forever. And when they bought Empire, they kept the US factories that make levels, squares, and measuring tools.

Probably would want a Demolition blade for that kind of job.

These blades have small teeth for cutting softer steels like Unistrut, hinges, conduit - I'd worry the tiny teeth would overheat on a demo site.

I'm glad their Chinese owners have allowed that !

I wonder what advantage the Chinese saw in keeping any production in the US?

Are you sure it was one of their carbide blades?
They make a lot of bimetal blades that are typically what people buy & have, because they're cheaper - and yes - those bimetal blades don't tend to hold up well to hitting metal (especially screws since they're typically very hard)

Milwaukee Tools is still an American company based in Wisconsin that just happens to have its stock held by a tool conglomerate that was founded in Hong Kong in 1985, back when it was a British territory.
