I got one of these machines years ago for my wife but she never even launched the software. Is this an easy way to get into? Is it an expensive hobby to get into? Any videos if I want to get into it?

If you have a decent printer you can get some sticker paper then print out designs, laminate it with something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0FNS2RD3S, then cut them out perfectly with the Cricut.

This is the "value" version - is this a lower quality than the other/permanent versions? Says it should be fine for 20-25 wash ideal cycles?

Are people still doing vinyl? It seems like everywhere I turn it's about sublimation. But I don't want to start all over again with new equipment but sublimation does seem nicer for places were constant contact will rub off the vinyl

You generally use a machine to cut this, then use transfer tape to apply it to an object. No heat necessary for this type of vinyl.

HAHAHA my wife got the deluxe set and it is in the closet she never touched it, I made a punisher decal once with it to test it that is it's one and only use!
