Griot's Ceramic Speed Shine is a quick detailer and drying aid that adds a strong glossy finish after washing. It also works as a clay lubricant and can be used on paint, wheels, glass, trim, and seals, with good results alongside Griot's 3 in 1 products. The scent is pleasant, and the finish can make a freshly washed car look especially shiny. It needs proper technique and a clean microfiber towel, and it is best used right after washing rather than after dust has settled. A versatile top up product for maintaining an already protected car.

  • The product can be used right after washing to help remove dust and improve shine.

  • The product can function as a clay lube, drying aid, and detailer for wheels and glass.

  • The product can deliver noticeable gloss after a good wash, with people asking what was used.

  • The product can be used on windows and glass, including a comparison versus Rain-X for odor preference.

  • The listing may be confused with other Griot's ceramic products, including a ceramic 3-in-1 wax versus Speed Shine/QD.

  • Using the product a day after washing, when road dust or pollen is present, can create scratches or swirl marks.

  • The product may require light strokes and a well-coated surface so dirt lifts off instead of being pulled across paint.

  • The product can leave residue if it is not buffed thoroughly, which requires extra elbow grease.

When do y'all use this? A day after washing the car and riding the next day already has road dust/pollen. So using this then would create scratches/swirls in my case ?
Yes I use this, non ceramic version, right after washing the car and it is great. Here is what you need for dust removal. https://a.co/d/0dBxaetN

its not the product that creates scratches and swirls.. that comes from bad technique and using dirty/subpar towels. I use this on wash day after drying with a FRESH high quality microfiber towel and whenever I want a quick waterless wipe down

I second the California Duster for dust removal. Just remember to use LIGHT strokes to lift dust off your paint. You car should have a good coat of wax or ceramic to ensure the dirt is lifted off instead of pulled across the paint.

Use this immediately after washing. Yes, after a day of driving, it would create small scratches from the dust. But after use, the small dust particles do not stick

I think they're different products. The hybrid ceramic would compare to 3-in-1 and this seems like it's for quick top-ups

So this is a scam?

Nothing I found seems to support the claim, unless they are saying this because the Secret Service supposedly uses Griots products to detail the vehicles that transport the conman in chief.

Their products aren't scams, this one is new ish. I tried it out on my car last week after a good wash. I had 2 people in a parking lot ask me what I used to get it so shiny back to back. Time will tell how it holds up. I am also testing it on my car windows and glass shower door to see how it performs vs rain-x. Would love to never smell rain-x again and the ceramic speed shine smells good. Most griot's products smell nice.

Edit: This is similar to the standard Speed Shine from Griots, with added ceramic..stuff.. Can be used as a claybar lubricant, after a wash or wax, on windows, trim, seals, pretty much whatever. Takes a bit of elbow grease to make sure you buff it up nice and don't leave any residue, it is not a spray it on and halfassedly wipe it off type of product.

I am extremely particular about cleaning our cars, have been using the normal speed shine for 10+ years as a spot cleaner, clay lube, post wash detailer etc but always used rainx on windows. Always interested in reducing the number of products I need for a good detail.
