It's actually cheaper to buy the hobbit and lotr trilogy 4k extended & theatrical collections separately. They're $40 each on gruv. Then you get the 15% discount code with FIRSTGRUV15

Fair, but those don't include the digital or blu-ray with them.

I had been thinking about trying to get the LOTR trilogy 4K steelbook collection. Is there anything that has that this doesn't have?

Bonus Features. I think if it includes digital codes you get them digitally on certain platforms, but this is only the films and then the commentaries are only on the blu-rays and not the 4k versions. Also, these aren't steelbooks.

So how does the digital version work? Just from some streaming site?

From the image posted, the digital versions don't expire until 2027. Since this is WB, it's MA.Wink

I'm not sure of these particular products, but you'll probably activate the digital copies directly with a Movies Anywhere account. I believe most WB studios films activate there directly. Movies Anywhere has the highest streaming bitrate besides Apple TV, and syncs between all partner platforms. (Amazon, Fandango at Home, Apple, Google)
