I'm sorry, what?! What makes this a $300 electric razor? How's it different than other electric razors? Marketing?
Depends on your use case. The cheaper ones tend to not shave as close, irritate the skin, cause more ingrown from not cutting as cleanly and blades dull faster, especially in more curved areas like the neck. This is all dependent on your hair and skin type as well. Thicker hair and/or more sensitive or lose skin can benefit from a more precise razor. If you just want a trimmer or like to have some stubble/5 o'clock shadow after a shave you could get away with a generic shaver.

It probably shaves the exact same as others using the same blades. SH91

Years ago, I bought a cheap Norelco for $69, and it did its job, but after a few years, it fell apart. I went ahead and replaced it with the top of the line (back then) Norelco, and it lasted me almost 20 years. For the price tag, I'm sure the parts in it is one of the reasons for the higher price.

I agree 100 percent. I don't see a picture of the back, but when I tried Norelco years ago it drove me crazy that it can't even put a side trimmer pop up. If you want the best shaver, go with the Arc 5. You can get them on sale here for under $100. Blows this one out of the water. Not even close for me personally.
58 y.o here-every 10 years or so i purchase a nice cordless shaver and every ten years i shake my head wondering why cordless shavers still suck. In the last 40 years all these companies have been able to do is add silly features to these things. The actual part that cuts the hair off your face sucks today the way it sucked for the last 40 years. I recently bought the Norelco 7900with uv. It is a horrible shaver. I get a better shave on my face from a $23 body hair trimmer from amazon. Maybe if you have peach fuzz for whiskers these shavers might work. But if you are a biological male you will need something better than a pricy cordless shaver
