Is the build quality on this one better than the Acer Helios neo 16? I've had the Acer for only 15 months and the W key is already coming off.

I'd say maybe HP is a step up from Acer in terms of quality. I've had several Acers and HPs. Acers are cheaper, but fail pretty much consistently.
