Huh? You do realize that most manufacturers do not make their own filters? In 40+ years I have never purchased a "factory" filter … and never had an issue using an aftermarket one. These may well be superior to "factory". Been using PureOne for 20 years …

Good deal. Wish I had seen this sooner, because I already bought an OEM Mann-Filter.

I can get a factory filter from my dealership for $4.50, I will use a few different oils, but I only ever use a factory filter, this is due to the oil pressure that the car was designed to operate at, and to save a couple bucks, even though the chance is extremely low, I'd rather stick with a factory filter. Oil and oil filters are cheap compared to the price of an engine.

This is a great price but this particular size will not fit my Honda Civic. Any thoughts on Purolator and Wix vx Fram? The Fram filter for my Honda Civic was out of stock for quite a while and now is back in stock but much more expensive. I'm strongly considering switching.

Pretty sure most manufacturers also don't make their own alternators, or windshields, or spark plugs. But they sure as hell specify how those products will work. So I'm all for spending what? another dollar in this case for an oem filter on an 80k truck that has a known engine problem
