I got a Dell Inc. XPS 17 9720 a couple years ago and it's by far the best computer I have ever had. Never had one problem w/ it. I think they call that line 'Premium' these days, and the 'Pro' is the old Inspiron line. So what is bad about this?
I liked Dells and were my first few pc and laptops. But after trying Asus, and lasting 8+ years each, and current one still going, 3+ years longer than my Dell purchases, Dell is no longer an option. Even my wife's LG Gram, almost 9 years, with less than favorable reviews back then, better than my past Dell's. I'm sure others are more fortunate with their Dell's, just like a handful of people have Range Rover's that actually work well, LOL! Idk, just me maybe, but anything 15.6" or bigger, I want a number pad, without it, I'm going to regret not having it.
But is it the graphics card that makes this still over $1K? I still regret, a few months ago, not pulling the trigger on a 14" Asus laptop, 2nd gen Ultra 9 (yes 9), 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM, for $650, excellent open box. The 60hz screen was holding me back. After sleeping on it, gone the next morning, still regret, sobbing, lol, oh well.
