The Milwaukee M12 FUEL SURGE 1/4 in. Hex Hydraulic Driver is the industry's first 12-Volt hydraulic impact driver. Featuring the FLUID-DRIVE Hydraulic Powertrain, the hydraulic impact will allow users to experience operation up to 2X quieter with less vibration for smoother and faster driving speeds compared to standard impacts. The compact size of the tool and battery provides users with unmatched access in tight spaces and allows for easy transport on a tool belt and easy fitting into a job site tool bag. Performance is not sacrificed despite lower peak torque due to its Longer Sustained Torque that allows the tool to complete core users most common applications. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 0 RPM to 3,000 RPM with constant power output to drive screws faster. Built-in REDLINK PLUS intelligence is the most advanced electronic system on the market, preventing damage to the user's tool and battery caused by overloading or overheating. The cordless impact driver is compatible with all Milwaukee M12 REDLITHIUM Compact Batteries or Extended Capacity Batteries, delivering users with more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack than competitive batteries. In addition to the M12 FUEL SURGE 1/4 in. Hex Hydraulic Driver, this kit includes two M12 REDLITHIUM CP2.0 batteries and a contractor bag.

ProToolReviews found the M12 Surge to be more powerful than the M12 Fuel Impact Driver. Read this, it's a really good comparison between the two: https://www.protoolreviews.com/mi...ct-driver/
For me though, it's Surge all the way.

M12 surge deals are always terrible, even after all this time. This is theoretically a good price with another tool, but who wants an M12 blower?! Even at the full 199 + free tool, the options are terrible unless you've managed not to pick up a ratchet by now.

Agreed here, deal would be worthy if it bundled with a xc5.0 battery. Two 2.0ah...meh. Wouldn't want to deal with that battery in the blower
the m12 blower works well, sometimes the m18 blower is too powerful. I use the m12 blower to help my fire in my Kamado grill. Ive use it to blow dust out of filters that the m18 may destroy. I also use it to dry off my motorcycles after washing them. It has it's uses where too much may cause damages. And it does blow leaves, just not like the m18.

M12 blower is perfect for blowing off all the sawdust from my tools, workbench, etc.

You obviously missed the point that this is a SPOT BLOWER.

The M12 surge is one M12 tool I don't have yet. I know the M18 has many complaining the tool doesn't have enough torque and reading through reviews it seems the M12 is the same. No big deal if I pass on this tool.

The Ryobi 220 CFM 140 MPH Compact Leaf Blower is a beast compared to the disappointing Milwaukee. The Ryobi screams like a banshee at full throttle, but moves so much more air

I have the newest generation M18 Fuel Impact and the new M18 Surge, the newest M12 Fuel impact as well. My most used 1/4" impact is the M12 Surge, it works for about 85% of stuff I need to do, has the best trigger control for less bit slip, and is so small, makes the M18 feel like carrying a brick. The new M18 Surge is great as well, just bigger and heavier.

the surge gives up a little torque for quieter operation. I love it in the residential maintenance setting, as it's quieter than my regular fuel impact.

Read the article, thanks. Also watched the M12 surge complete against the M12 fuel impact on quite a few different videos on You Tube. Time and time again the Fuel best the surge. I suppose if you were someone that uses an impact daily and the reduced noise would be super helpful but other than that I don't see any benefit.

Yes I responded to another's comment regarding the surge vs the fuel. Your response what pretty much a summary of my response ie reduced noise only benefit however another poster mentioned they like the control speed of the surge trigger better also. That may be a factor more important to me than the noise.
