Community Reviews

Split Fiction is a standout couch co op adventure built around clever puzzles, wild ideas, and constant coordination. It shines most when played with two people, whether on the couch or online, and the friend pass makes it easy for a second player to join after one copy is bought. The game also has generous checkpointing and infinite lives, which helps with tougher sections. The main caveat is that some timing heavy parts can frustrate younger players, and the dialogue includes occasional mild profanity and cartoonish violence.

  • Couples or friends who want a couch co-op adventure, because the puzzles, coordination, and timing make playing together fun.

  • Parents playing with older kids, because the game has generous checkpoints and infinite lives while the content stays mostly mild.

  • Players who like inventive platforming, because it mixes lots of ideas with varied art styles and funny moments.

    reverovbrecourt

  • Two-player groups that want online co-op on one purchase, because the friend pass lets a second player join free with a separate account.

  • Players who want completely kid-safe dialogue, because the game includes occasional swear words.

  • Families with a six-year-old who gets frustrated by timing-heavy sections, because boss fights and jet pack parts can be too hard to control.

    reverovlilgrubbybaby

  • Solo players looking for a single-player experience, because it is built around two-person coordination.

    Mazzilo

  • Groups that dislike repeated coordination demands, because the game relies on matching timing and patience throughout.

this game is awesome, not sure if everyone knows... you can play this game with friends for free, once you buy one copy of the game, your friends can download the digital "friend pass" version of the game for free via the xbox, playstation, or nintendo digital stores. That is basically the full digital version of the game for free, as long as one person owns the game, your friend can download the digital friend pass version of the game and the game owner can invite you to play with them online for free. Both parties just need to have a free EA games account to receive the invite. It's an awesome game, and well worth it for $35!

Edit: You do have to have the basic online subscription for whatever console - NSO/Xbox Game Pass/Playstation Plus. Hope this helps!

Great game! MUST be played with 2 people, and a lot of it is coordination/timing so make sure that you both have patience and can match up
