Split Fiction is a standout couch co op adventure built around clever puzzles, wild ideas, and constant coordination. It shines most when played with two people, whether on the couch or online, and the friend pass makes it easy for a second player to join after one copy is bought. The game also has generous checkpointing and infinite lives, which helps with tougher sections. The main caveat is that some timing heavy parts can frustrate younger players, and the dialogue includes occasional mild profanity and cartoonish violence.
Couples or friends who want a couch co-op adventure, because the puzzles, coordination, and timing make playing together fun.
It can work for kids, but it has mild language, occasional "shit," mild cartoonish blood, and emotional themes about loss. The gameplay can be too timing-heavy for younger children in sections like boss fights and jet-pack parts, though infinite lives and generous checkpoints help.
Yes. It is described as an excellent couch co-op with fun puzzles and strong two-player coordination, and some players have finished it multiple times. It is built around playing with two people, so it works best when both players can match timing and stay patient.
It is not considered hard overall, but it can get difficult in coordination-heavy sections and may become frustrating at times. The game uses generous checkpoints and infinite lives, which soften the challenge.
Yes. One person can buy the game and invite a friend who downloads the free Friend Pass version from the console store, as long as both players have free EA accounts. The owner and guest also need the console's basic online subscription to play online.
this game is awesome, not sure if everyone knows... you can play this game with friends for free, once you buy one copy of the game, your friends can download the digital "friend pass" version of the game for free via the xbox, playstation, or nintendo digital stores. That is basically the full digital version of the game for free, as long as one person owns the game, your friend can download the digital friend pass version of the game and the game owner can invite you to play with them online for free. Both parties just need to have a free EA games account to receive the invite. It's an awesome game, and well worth it for $35!
Edit: You do have to have the basic online subscription for whatever console - NSO/Xbox Game Pass/Playstation Plus. Hope this helps!
