I got a refurbished one like this a year and a half ago, directly from Lenovo, on E-Bay for $300, with a 2 year warranty. It's a slightly older Ryzen 7, with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It's been a great laptop, but this doesn't seem like an outstanding deal. I know memory prices are a lot higher now, but it's disappointing to see computers with less than 500GB of storage.
Didn't know what the Ryzen 5 40 was. It's a fairly "new" processor. It's based on the old zen 2 architecture but it's on a newer 6nm process. So it's not a "recycled" chip as some people want to believe. It's a 4 core 8 thread. Running RDNA graphics on DDR5 memory. Its passmark multi core score is 9430 and single core 2535. So it's a base tier budget class cpu. Still blows the doors off of intels cheap budget tier cpus. But the laptop should be priced accordingly with a cpu like this. It should never exceed 300$
