This wasn't on my purchase list but read this review on Reddit and it sold me:

"Smelled it today first time. I have owned a few Aventus clones and eventually purchased the real thing, so I have a good idea of how to describe this.

Before I purchased Aventus I bought clones from Armaf, Zara, Mont Blanc, Rayane, Dua, and whatever Supremacy Silver is. They all have their benefits and have their own take on the Aventus vibe, but none of them really scratch that itch. Sold them all. So what is it? What gives Aventus its unique vibe that appeals to so many people that no company can seem to replicate just right?

I read a really interesting article on Fragrantica a while back that said that Aventus had a unique proprietary musk created specially for it. The musk is what gives Aventus its signature: a salty, watery, animalic smell reminiscent of your own sweat. Once I read that I noticed that this is truly what sets Aventus apart from the others. Not the pineapple, not the smoky birch; it's this recognizable musky scent that I swear I've smelled before but can't recall where. Unique yet instantly recognizable; truly the marker of mass appeal.

So now to Versace Eros Energy.... it is the only Aventus clone I've ever smelled that has that same exact musky signature. The citrus up top is lemon-dominated, but a very good lemon similar to Chanel Allure Edition Blanche. It ain't pineapple, but the black currant in combination has a similar effect. There is zero smoky birch, in fact it's hard to pickup any distinct woods. Is it cedar or sandalwood? Nah it's just wood and it's playing a supporting role in the back somewhere. But that unique musky scent appears early and stays for the whole ride. It's bang on and it kinda blows me away.

This is probably what Aventus cologne should have been. It's stronger and longer-lasting than Aventus cologne, and it does a better job creating a fresher, more zingy Aventus. I sprayed it on my wrist 6 hours ago, took a shower and I can still pick it up 3 feet away from my nose.

I have no need for this, as I have the real deal and I'm happy with it, but this is a great fragrance. If you don't own Aventus, I'd say this is a no-brainer."

It's good, imagine Aventus but with candied lemon that stays with the fragrance through its life. It's a high heat alternative to aventus imo

I think this smells awfully like Pledge lemon cleaner

But I have seen many people say it's the best...I don't understand what I'm missing. I loved Versace Eros and Versace Eros Flame - but this? OOF.

Wearing it right now.
Perfumes are subjective. You don't like it? Move on.

It's a great smelling fragrance. The people claiming it smells like lemon pledge, I mean they're both lemon scented, so I'm not sure what they expect a lemon smell to smell like. You could probably also compare it to lemon scented dishwashing soap because guess what, it's LEMON SCENTED. If you like the citrus smell, you'll like this cologne. If you think it smells like lemon pledge, maybe stop spraying it on you as if you were about to polish some wood (and I don't mean that metaphorically).

Original post had Costco. Now the staff has changed it to lead with Amazon but still include Costco. SD only gets kickbacks from Amazon so they make sure to push Amazon at every turn.

Great price.
Perfumes are also a product that people scour reviews about - so having a negative opinion on its smell are pretty important, too.

I don't want to blind buy if the reviews are too mixed. But if they're all great? I'm in.

No reason to blind buy this one as it's sold about every place that sells designer men's fragrance.

Great reason for it - lots of people don't want to go to Department Stores to test them out. Now, I think it's foolish to blind buy like that, but it's definitely a thing people do. So hey, gotta give my review for any of those people who plan to Blind Buy.

That's like saying it's good to order Uber Eats because you don't like to interrupt your online game playing.
