If you want to smell like a freshly polished boot, go for a blind buy.

This has so many dupes that are just as good if not better. This is probably the best for the price though they're all going to be a fraction of the price.https://www.fragrantica.com/perfu...60262.html
I'll have to disagree and say that Afnan Rare Carbon is actually much closer and probably the closest to the scent profile of ombre leather and is around the same price as the lattafa.

Or you can get a decant from multiple retailers online for less than the price of a meal at Chipotle.. Nothing against dupes but imo I think it's best to start off knowing what the OG smells like before jumping into dupes That way you have a solid benchmark.
Don't let a dupe ruin a fragrance for you that you haven't smelled.

I've blind bought this before and didn't like the scent of musky old leather. It is an old person's smell.

Definitely agree. If you can get a free sample go for it. If not the dupes have increased in quality recently and usually are 90% close if not better.
Yeah, almost no dupes are 90% close. This is nonsense influencers try to peddle. That doesn't mean they are bad, I own a bunch of dupes as well as originals, but figures like that are flat out lies from influencers or from people that don't have good noses and shouldn't be giving other people advice on perfume.

Sorry man you're wrong but I like the effort. I'm not an influencer and I have several originals and dupes and well, 90% is a solid number but if you want, I'll drop it down to 85%. A for effort though!

I agree with you on this. Most people act like anything under 90% is some massive failure when realistically, even 80–85% close at a fraction of the price is a huge win for most people.

Nobody's saying dupes perfectly recreate every tiny nuance of a $300 fragrance, but the fact that the dupe market is exploding says everything. People clearly smell enough similarity to keep buying them over and over.

Most people aren't doing side-by-side microscopic breakdowns of dry downs and top note transitions. If a dupe captures the vibe, compliment factor, and overall experience (which the OGs do) for 20% of the price (you can't beat this), it's winning. The demand alone speaks volumes.

Even with a decent discount, it's not a good candidate for a blind buy. Very polarizing - people either love it or hate it. Definitely try it on before you put any money on the table.
