I love mine, but this price sucks. Got a new one with the stand for $220 on fb marketplace and use it almost everyday. They did have a slick deal awhile back for $250, wait for a better deal, but pounce on it when it shows up since this is awesome

Is this the bespoke version? The black version of the Pro is frequently on sale in the $250+/- range.

This is the standard sale price for this unit. Not slick. 299 is the price point that makes it worth while.

Gas grills are more convenient. Even though these are pretty cool in some ways, they don't grill as good as a regular gas grill. If you want to add smoke buy a $10 chip box (or whatever), but it's far easier to clean the grates than to deal with the greasy griddle. I've owned a Woodfire, sold mine last year.

I love everything Ninja I own, and most of my kitchen is Ninja.

Definitely on my radar for when it hits (a better) sale price. But I trust Ninja enough that I know if I bought this anyway I almost certainly wouldn't be disappointed even at this price

This is my question. I've got a natural gas hookup to my Weber and I'm interested in the smoke texture and flavor without getting an actual smoker.

Some chip boxes can fit underneath the grates on top of the burners. That's what I did with mine for steak with one like this https://www.amazon.com/Hicook-Cha...B07DLQQ7W7 When I want to get fancy with steak I like to add some mesquite and it's an easy way to do it. I put it over top of my far right burner and by the time the grill is warmed up it's generating some smoke. For a Weber, this one sits directly on top of the burner with its V shape https://www.amazon.com/Skyflame-U...B07MDPFK8H I don't own one but it seems like a good solution and there are plenty of reviews for it. Just search wood chip boxes for gas grills and there are a lot of options https://www.amazon.com/s?k=wood%2...as%2Bgrils There are homemade methods using a cast iron or stainless pan covered with a lid (holes drilled in) or aluminum foil, but they're not usually the most elegant way to do it.

Keep in mind these chip boxes are mainly for grilling. Your not going to get the smoke flavor of a smoker unless you use an actual smoker, or with wood/charcoal as a heat source (such as a kettle grill). Smoke boxes are great for grilling food and adding smoke flavor. I use mine all the time. The only hassle is getting the heat right so that the chips don't catch fire. You don't get much flavor from flaming wood chips, they gotta smolder so you may have to experiment with what works. Oh, and I don't smoke my chips in water. It takes longer and I just don't think it does anything good.

Shark Ninja website has additional 15% off with email or text signup making it $339.99. IMO its worth it if you plan on cooking with it right away this summer rather than waiting for a bigger sale. Only the blue one though if that matters to you.

Thanks for this. The one that sits right on a Weber flavorizer looks super interesting. I've also read about smoke tubes. Either way, it's worth a $20 experiment
