But it also over heats, and then heavily throttles. Still happy with the purchase for the size, just be aware it will overheat and throttle at high output.

Wonderful little device. It powers my thirsty Thinkpad workstation that wants 170 (peak) watts but the Anker unit is just a fraction of the size of my Thinkpad's power brick. So, the Anker is all I take when on the road. It also works from an airline's AC outlet whereas the higher watt power bricks won't. The unit does get hot, however. And you can't get 140 watts when connecting or charging multiple devices at the same time. Also be sure and use a USB cable rated for the 140 wattage.

Bought this charger last go around. Pretty great and I really like the display. With that said, it has a known bug in charging Samsung phones where about every 2 minutes it changes the charge rate so that the phone "pings" as though it was just connect to a fast charger. You can read the reviews and see it's an issue that Anker acknowledges, but doesn't have any plan to fix. So if buying to charge a Galaxy phone, I'd go a different direction. In my house we use it for a bunch of different charging though so it isn't a deal breaker.

I'm confused with these chargers and with how expensive these things are. Are people using this mainly with their portable chargers mostly or other things?
I have a Dell XPS 15 9520 laptop that comes with the standard 130w charger. I have an Anker 24000 mah 737 where when I charge it, I would connect the Anker to my XPS laptop 130 w charger and notice it would charge it much faster than if I connect the Anker powerbank to the standard 20W Apple Charging Adapter that I use with my older iPhone 13 mini.
The thing is are people buying this and other expensive chargers like this so they can charge their devices much faster? If so, which specific devices? Is it because it takes longer to charge your 5000 mah or 10000 mah portable charger? I understand that because if I use my XPS 15 9520 laptop Dell charger that is 130w, it takes I believe up to 2 hours to charge the Anker 24000 mah 737 powerbank to 100%. If I use the 20W Apple Charging Adapter, it would take like like 7 hours or so. That is why people buy this right?
What I'm confused is what about people that buy it to charge their MacBook? I never had a Macbook but what is the charger watt for the MacBook? Is it because they don't want to carry their MacBook charger and carry this instead? I'm still somewhat confused here as when you charge your MacBook with this, this is assuming the power bank you use is 100% charged already? Or can you just connect this charger with a cable and charge your MacBook through a wall outlet?
The thing is can you connect this to wall outlet and just need your iPhone charging cable and charge your iPhone that way? So many people do that? The thing is if someone wants to buy this charger solely for this... it doesn't make sense? But would it charge it fully in like 30 minutes or something or less? Because your standard Apple 20W charging adapter with your iPhone charging cable... if you have those things and access to an outlet, well if you charge your iPhone for an hour or so even with the standard 20W, well your iPhone battery will go from 1% to 60% at the minimum but it probably is a bit higher? i bought this in the previous sale in anticipation of my framework 13 pro, didnt realize the framework comes with a charger(100w) that you cant opt out of in the prebuilt version,( also sidenote but the prebuilt is cheaper than diy for the same specs) but thats on me for not checking beforehand.

Your laptop requires a 165W charger. Why would you use a 140W charger instead?

I typically just buy one of a charger like this for travel so I can charge multiple devices fairly quickly using only one brick. For home use, given the duration of batteries these days, I find something like this totally overkill as I don't need such charging speeds.
So when you travel, how exactly are you charging your multiple devices? You do mean using this charger in a wall outlet right? Then you connect which devices to it? So you connect a phone and an iPad to it with different separate cables to the wall outlet? So a powerbank isn't used during this process right? The thing many people would do would be just plug their iPhone with their 20w adapter and white charging cable to one outlet and do the same with their iPad right? But with this, you are using just one adapter as opposed to 2 adapters? You still need those separate cables? Or is it that cable or that come with the powerbank? But since a powerbank comes with one cable, you need to buy another separate cable right? But you can use the white charging cable that comes with your iPhone or iPad as long as that iPhone is iPhone 15 or better but what about iPad?
The thing that has me confused is when people talk about charging their laptop with this. The thing is aren't you still using your laptop charger to charge it so I'm not sure how this factors in it? By that I mean using your laptop not at home and in public whether travel or not. I'm not sure how there is any use for this? I heard some people mention if they travel with a gaming laptop and have a big charging brick like with a lenovo legion laptop or Asus laptop, this is better but how exactly are they charging it without the brick? So if you get a long enough usb-c to usb-c cable, that is enough to charge the gaming laptop then? Most usb-c to usb-c cables are pretty short right like a few feet only?

I have a Dell 5490.
Dell computers are very picky about using 3rd party chargers.
Dell has a charging method called Express Charge and Express Charge Boost.
Even if a 3rd party chargers like this one has PD 3.1 and is EPR advertised it may not charge at max speeds/wattage possible.
Please also check your Dell's BIOS for the charge settings and also the power manager in Windows.
None of the fast charging options are great for the battery, if you really need it in an "emergency" fine but don't use Express Boost on a daily basis and expect great battery life.
This charger or the AOHI Magcube Pro 140W are however great travel chargers. Just don't expect the absolute max charging speed a laptop is advertised with.
