The sensors are not very sensitive and you have put your hand around 4 inches in front of it to set it off. People were complaining about some similar touch less trash cans a few days ago for being way too sensitive so thankfully these are not like that at all.
Community Reviews
This is a small 2.7 gallon touchless bathroom trash can set that fits best in bathrooms, guest baths, dorm rooms, or bedrooms. The compact size is useful for tight spaces, and the sensor can work well when you stand close, with some reports of about a year of battery life. The main drawback is reliability, since multiple cans arrived defective or started opening and closing on their own, and the lids can feel slow or cheap. It seems like a space saving option if the small size and sensor quirks are acceptable.
Common Questions (5)
Some units work fine, but others arrive defective or start malfunctioning, including lids that won't open, open and close on their own, or keep cycling all night. If you buy them, the return option matters.
Yes. The 2.7-gallon size is small, and multiple buyers describe them as tiny or smaller than expected. They're commonly used for bathrooms, guest bathrooms, dorm rooms, or bedrooms rather than kitchens.
The sensor is not very sensitive and may need a hand held about 4 inches in front to trigger. Some units can also be overly sensitive and open from over a foot away, so placement and sensor cleanliness matter.
Battery life can be around a year in similar models, but one buyer using rechargeable IKEA 2450 mAh batteries got about a month per set. Frequent opening from sensor issues can drain batteries faster.
Walmart bags can fit, but they may be a little shallow and ragged at the top. A proper-fitting bag likely needs to match the can's small 2.7-gallon size more closely.
