This open box 11 inch iPad with the A16 chip is drawing attention as a strong value for a near new tablet, especially for reading, browsing, and general everyday use. The best reports describe units arriving in original packaging or plain brown boxes with pristine screens, factory wrapped or unused accessories, and very low battery cycles, sometimes zero. Warranty dates also appear to run well into 2026 or 2027. The main caution is quality control, with a few reports of scratches, a small dent, or a weak battery, plus warnings about low stock and possible empty box or refund hassles. A solid deal if the unit arrives as described.
The open-box iPad units reportedly arrived looking pristine or brand new in the original packaging.
Several units reportedly showed very low battery cycle counts, including zero to two cycles.
Warranty coverage reportedly remained active for months after delivery on multiple units.
Some deliveries reportedly included unused-looking accessories like the charger, cable, or factory-wrapped items.
Some buyers reportedly had smooth setup after an Apple Pay setup screen stalled briefly.
Product identity details reportedly conflicted, with the title/features stating A16 while the product details section showed A14.
Some units reportedly showed physical condition issues such as scratches or a small dent on the back metal.
Checkout reportedly displayed "low stock," and delivery timing monitoring was advised due to empty or open-box reports.
Refunds reportedly could be difficult when empty or open-box issues occurred.
Battery performance reportedly varied, with at least one unit showing only about three hours of web browsing despite low cycle count.
