Not asking to wait for someone who needs one right now but i got a similar card for $8.99 in Jan 2026 from walmart.

The insane surge in memory/chip pricing is probably worse than pandemic now.

Got these a few weeks back for my eufy cameras. I know I know they aren't high endurance but took my risk. Made in Taiwan. I suspect based on the price and location of manufacturing they are made by Silicon Power and relabeled. More of a budget drive but hopefully a little more endurance given they are switch branded. They have been working good

This onn 128 GB microSDXC card stands out as a budget 128 GB option for Nintendo Switch and camera storage, with read speeds up to 100 MB per second and write speeds up to 90 MB per second. It has been used successfully in eufy and Tapo cameras, and the Taiwan manufacturing and relabeling speculation points to a lower tier but workable card. The main cautions are compatibility and durability, since Switch 2 needs MicroSD Express, some modded Switch setups hit errors, and long term reliability is questioned. The price is still viewed as strong versus current 128 GB alternatives.

Well... I bought two of these today to use them on my switch lite and switch v2, but I am getting an error on my mod, so sending them right back. I don't recommend them for the similar use.
mod on switch 2?

Lexar are top memory cards made in Taiwan...can't compare with Onn
I looked into this a bit more. The express cards are supposed to be made by Longsys (parent company of Lexar) and the micro sd cards are supposedly made by Sandisk, Lexar, or PNY. Walmart contracts out the manufacturing. The cards are a lower tier of quality though than the premium products from those manufacturers

Full disclosure (and I hate to rain on anybody's parade) these die after a few years. I had onn USB drives and onn Micro SD cards. These will die in 3 to 4 years as I had them and stopped buying them when I noticed this pattern. Can anybody explain why though? After a while they aren't recognized and an error stating the USB drive or micro SD cards are not recognized. I have G Skill micro SD cards that are 10+ years old and still work to this day. Why do these onn brands die so quickly?

Those were the old Lexar by Micron. It's been close to a decade now that Micron sold their business to Chinese (as other commenter mentioned). Post sale lexar chips took a nosedive in quality and endurance. Granted most of their chips were made in China even prior to the acquisition but never seen any made elsewhere, unless the tariffs changed stuff

I'd argue Onn is maybe an edge up compared to Lexar but not sure how the newer generation of lexar chips have been. Had bad experiences with the post sale. I still have the Micron made chips around after this many years still working.

Good deal for how expensive storage has gotten with the lack of regulations and rush to put a data center in every available corner.

I remember buying team group 128gb for 5 or 6 bucks each from newegg I am so glad i purchased a crap load of them. These new sale prices might be good compared to new current prices but really suck.

A good price given the significant price increases I have seen for MicroSD cards over recent months.

Why should we put so many regulations, laws.
