I used to hate melatonin because I would wake up super groggy. Then one day I tried one of my kids melatonin (0.5 mg dose) and it was awesome. Helped me go to sleep and was worn off by morning.
10 mg is way too much for me. If you are new to it you might consider starting smaller.

.3mg is the most effective dose of melatonin. This is way too high.

I've been taking magnesium glycinate as an electrolyte supplement and surprisingly its been helping with sleep. I don't wake up in the middle of the night like on melatonin. I still have to play with dosage since Im drowsy in the morning
