Propane? I've never heard of a propane pellet smokers. Dedicated circuit? Electric pellet smokers have been around forever, with most major grill brands having an offering (even Weber) and they seem to handle consistent heat fine. You're not producing heat with the electricity directly, the heat is produced by using electricity to burn pellets. The system can burn more pellets faster to increase heat if necessary.

I've used a Traeger w/Bluetooth. Great option to have to monitor what you're cooking. I agree with the other comments though, the price of these has gone through the roof.

I had the OG of this model. Just upgraded to a Pit Boss Sportsman 850 for less than this (previous FP deal from Best Buy).

Almost bought then tic toc and Facebook got my algorithm and didn't have to look any further. Put it this way... any good house space heater needs a designated circuit and this don't. Heating long term over night/ many hours seems to be a problem for consistent heat. I'm sure many good stories but I was on the fence for electric heat and won't pull the trigger now. Marketing has got them this far, big box stores carry them but not for me. I actually after seeing them and the design for the first time I was hoping they were propane. They do hide that a bit

The electricity is used to initially light the wood pellets and run the electronics and auger motor. It does not use electricity for heat. Once it's started it's a self sustaining fire driven by dropping additional pellets into the firebox

Given the time of day this was posted...put the bottle down and go to bed. And stop sourcing tic toc/facebook for your information.

I saw this model at Home Depot and was surprised at how light the lid was. I purchased a pit boss from Best Buy a few months ago for $350 and it feels much sturdier.
