These SafeRacks overhead garage racks are praised as a sturdy way to reclaim floor space and store bulky or rarely used items above the garage door or workbench. The 4 by 8 size, adjustable drop range, and beefy construction make them useful for plywood, bins, tents, and other heavy gear, and the current $200 two pack is repeatedly described as a strong price versus past sales. Installation is doable for handy DIYers, but it takes careful measuring, stud finding, and patience, and some orders arrived with packaging damage or quantity confusion. A solid garage storage upgrade if you can handle the install and checkout details.
DIY installation can be completed in an afternoon with planning, the right tools, and careful measurement.
The racks can hold a lot of weight and feel beefy for garage storage needs.
The racks can help clear garage floor space and enable parking both cars inside year-round.
SafeRacks support can reinforce a mount into more studs without charging again after a mount pulls away.
Some orders can receive only a single rack instead of the advertised 2-pack, creating return or dispute friction.
Installation can take significant time and effort due to truss finding, ladder fit, and slow alignment work.
The shipment packaging can arrive with the box fallen apart, leading to scuffing or abrasion on steel beams.
Installer quality risk can exist because installer identity and reviews may not be visible before paying.

I have 4 of them in my garage that still look good as they did out of the box. If only I had a bigger garage I'd get more.
FYI I think these did come in different boxes on different days. That wasn't super clear in the ordering process.
These things are beefy strong hold ton of weight.

I've installed/uninstalled/reinstalled myself at 3 separate homes. Super easy. Use a studfinder, or else magnets to find the nails for the studs. I think they are usually roughly 16" apart. Grid it out. Once you have the 4 corners ceiling mounts bolted in, the vertical bars and then the horizontal bars are super quick. I think I did both of them in maybe 3 hours. YMMV obviously based on DIY skills.
