NOTE: the below is just a sample deal, it works with pretty much anything you can buy over the Amex offer threshold at ABT.com. The value here is in the ability to both price match and use the offer.

Another note: please do not ask ABT customer service representatives about the American Express offer; according to the experience of some people in this thread, they don't appear to be very well trained on it and don't know how it works.

Further note: most people in this thread have reported not receiving emails that the offer has been triggered, but it posts anyways.

Step 1: Check your Amex cards for offers. Abt.com currently has $125 cash back offer for a $900+ purchase.

Note: Not every account will have this, hence YMMV! Looks like the offer might also be different for different cardholders, including a $100 off $1,000. Mine expires on 7/31/2026, so if you want to hold out for a potentially even greater price difference, there's that option, as well.

Step 2: Abt.com will price match to Amazon via chat (they will send a secure payment link). Amazon still has it for $899. You do still pay tax on $899. For me (MN) the final price after the cash back posts will be $850.64.

Clarification: I paid $975.64, which will trigger the credit. The $850.64 price will be reflected once the offer posts.

Filler items: if you don't have sales tax, search for "corn bread" or "salsa" ($8-ish). There are also some travel accessories, like luggage locks, for $20.

Step 3: Well, there's not one, really. Abt is a certified Apple reseller, so there are no warranty issues here. Can still add AppleCare and all that.

Applies to other models, as well.

It means exactly what it says. Spend $900 on Abt.com by 7/31 and you'll get the $125 credit.
My concern is one order reaches $900 or it accepts multiple orders as long as the total amount reaches $900.

The terms cannot be stated more clearly. It can be one order. It can be multiple orders. Any nonzero number of orders that totals over $900 will result in the offer being triggered. It's really not any more complicated than that. "One or more transactions" covers pretty much any such number of orders, from one to infinity.

Thanks OP - you may entice me into purchasing something I don't need right now thus the following question:
I currently am running a 3 year old M2, 512GB, 16 GB Ram with 88% battery life...was tempted at 899 but decided to hold off for refresh/m6 but could trade in my Mac at apple + use some existing gift cards to buy a phone for my dad overseas (something I was planning on anyway) so basically net spend increase of about 250 to get a new computer
Any thoughts about M5s considering my current specs?
Thanks,

Yeah, believe me, I'm still trying to justify the purchase myself beyond "hey, I was able to manufacture a good deal on a toy I kinda want".

Given those gift cards have value, your effective difference is going to be greater than just $250. I'd stick with your current machine, if it works for your use cases, to be honest.

$5 or $50? If the latter, I might look to upgrade my iPad, as well, lol (my wife might have the offer on one of her cards).

(If the former, LOOOOOOL)

This is a really good deal. I have an AMEX and checked my offer is $125, so I really considered to cancel my original order for 15 inch with 24GB RAM in B&H...but the shipping has already started so I couldn't do.
