So you did a single incomplete test without controls and it's definitely a false advertisement and not (probably) bad unit?

GG
Bad unit? Probably - Sabrent has been made aware, lets see what they say.

Alternate Headline: Check your cables.

I attempted to duplicate these results.
My setup:
ATORCH DL24 150W load tester
PD trigger board set to 20V

I tested three cables - one Essenger aliexpress special, one USB4 labelled cable, and one unbranded cable.

The unbranded cable did exhibit the behavior specified, shutting off around ~70W.

HOWEVER, using the USB4 cable or the Essenger cable, I was able to get 100W from each of the 4 ports in turn.

I repeated the test with a 65W laptop, and did not observe renegotiation as I plugged/unplugged the load on the other side.

Note that there's a chart in the manual -- roughly, always plug lower power devices in the 2nd line (CxB), it won't rebalance if you have a low power device in C1A and plug a high power device into C1B.
Did you try the laptop without the battery? Btw, I use a 10" USB-C cable rated for 320w for testing and this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to testing chargers over the years. Maybe I have a bad unit.๐Ÿ˜Š

Isn't PD spec topped out to 240W?

Yes, but there are no limitations on physical USB-C connector and wires, limited to the amp rating of the wire themselves. PD 3.1 goes 28-48v @5Amp controlled by the chip, without the chip its wide open. One can make a DIY no limit wattage cable as long as the wire can sustain the current, generally upto 8amps.

If the display ON 24/7 then it will die. My first died in 3 weeks then got a replacement...died in 2 weeks. Besides the display I have not felt any issues.

I watched Jeff Geerling's review of this last night and this morning this month old post shows up on my front page. Thankful for the coupon, but creeped out by the "coincidence".

Promo code only looks to be discounting 10% equivalent to $8.90.
