Seems like getting 2x 12 month personal 365 (good for 18 months of 365 Family) + 2 years of Nord for $100 is a better deal than 1x 12 month 365 Family and 1 year of Nord for $90.
This bundle is mainly attractive for extending Microsoft 365 and NordVPN through stacking, especially if you already have a Family plan. The Personal key can redeem into Family as about 9 months, and multiple Personal codes or Nord codes can stack, with some accounts reaching years of extra coverage. The redemption flow can be finicky, sometimes requiring the keep Family option, and Microsoft caps home subscriptions at 5 years. Nord Basic may not extend older higher tier Nord plans, and the offer is limited per customer.
Microsoft 365 Family subscribers who want to extend coverage cheaply, because Personal keys can convert into about nine months of Family and stack cleanly.
People starting fresh with Microsoft 365 and NordVPN, because the bundle can be stacked across separate purchases to build long coverage with no issues.
NordVPN users on an older higher-tier plan, because Basic keys may not stack onto a different Nord plan and can leave the expiry date unchanged on the website.
Microsoft 365 Premium subscribers who expect Personal codes to extend their existing plan, because the redemption flow may not offer a keep-existing-plan option.
Redeeming a Personal key on an active Family account can trigger a switch prompt that lets you keep Family instead of converting to Personal. When you choose keep Family, the Personal code adds about 9 months to the Family subscription, and Microsoft may also offer a free extra month if you turn on recurring billing.
Yes. Multiple Personal codes can be stacked and converted into Family time, and multiple Family codes can also be redeemed to extend the account. Microsoft does cap home subscriptions at 5 years, so stacking too many codes can eventually fail.
The NordVPN Basic code can stack, but it may not extend a different or higher-tier Nord plan. The app is the better place to verify the updated expiry date if the website date looks wrong.
The deal is limited to one per customer on some listings, and later comments show the limit changing to two per customer for the Personal + Nord combo. Attempts to buy extra copies can be canceled, so multiple orders may require separate accounts or may not work at all.
They may fail if the Family subscription is expiring very soon. In that case, the workaround is to let Family expire, redeem the Personal code, then switch back to Family afterward.
confirmed the personal code did add 9 months to my MS account. Thanks!
Unfortunately, the Nord code did not update my expiry date. When I went to enter it a 2nd time, it says its not valid. I emailed Nord support, hopefully it's an easy fix. I'm almost certain I did this exact same thing last year (well, bought Family MS and Nord bundle) and everything updated ok as expected.

Nice. Thanks. I was able to purchase personal and extended my family plan by 9 months to June 2029 😀

Can confirm that I've bought several personal subscriptions in the past and they both convert to family at 9mo vs 12mo personal, and you can stack.

Can confirm. My original Family plan expiration date was in August 2028. After adding a year of Personal, it is now May of 2029. (Well, now it is June 2029, since MS also offered a free month to turn on Automatic renewal, which I then promptly turned back off.) This is a pretty good deal at $67 for a year, likely the lowest I've paid for a Family subscription since the days when you could stack cheap Personal subs and convert to a Family sub with a single month of Family.
Note, though, that I couldn't seem to add more than one subscription to my Newegg cart at a time. So if you want multiple copies, you may have to do it over multiple transactions. EDIT: Ah, as someone else pointed out, it's limited to one per customer.
Ok, I see a bunch of people were able to redeem their Newegg personal code on a family subscription.
I am on a family plan (as the owner/admin) and went to redeem a subscription that expires on June 1. I went through adding the key on office.com/setup and it doesn't give me an option to redeem a personal subscription on a current family sub. Did you do anything to say "keep my family sub" when going through the process? Did I literally miss it?

Yes it was very specific for me saying "we see you are on family and you are trying to redeem personal, do you want to keep family or switch."

I ofc chose keep family.
TYVM for the quick reply. I'll try it on a desktop.
I do not see an option when redeeming the key to "keep the family sub active" so I guess it just thinks I want to dip out. I am currently on with their chat support to see if they can override it or something. Wish me luck!
People with issues stacking this Nord with their current account -- keep in mind this is Nord BASIC, and you might have an older, different NORD plan, so it may not stack. I had a bunch of Nord Basic keys from some other deal and I let my then-current Nord subscription expire and then added the Nord Basic keys.
If you have a higher tier plan (from an older generation) this Basic plan may not stack and extend your higher tier product.
Anyone know if Nord term can be added to existing subscription?
I'd love to know this, too. I currently have more than a year left on my current Nord subscription.

Data point: I'm on Microsoft 365 Premium, not regular Family. My Premium subscription is already extended far into the future.
I tried redeeming this Microsoft 365 Personal code at office.com/setup, expecting it might prorate/extend my Premium plan, but I did not get the "keep existing plan" option that others on Family are seeing. The redemption page only showed Microsoft 365 Personal valid until May 25, 2027, which looked like it would create/activate a separate Personal subscription, not extend Premium.
I contacted Microsoft support. Agent gave mixed/confusing answers and could not confirm the behavior during the chat. They agreed that normally there should be an option to keep/add to the existing Premium plan before confirming redemption, but I was not seeing that. They have opened/escalated a case to a higher-level/backend team, so I'm leaving the code unused for now.
I'll update if Microsoft confirms whether Personal codes can be prorated into Premium. For now, warning to anyone on Microsoft 365 Premium: don't click through unless the redemption page clearly shows it will extend Premium.

I think what I have would be basic, but I'm not sure. My account just says I have Nordvpn, nothing about if it's basic or not. I've had it since Dec. 2025, so not that old. It has no other special features, it's just a vpn, not a dedicated isp or any other features. Is that basic then?

Well, I got the same line - sorry, no help. I actually suspect it is because my subscription is expiring in a week or less. They actually suggested I WAIT for the Family Sub to Expire, Redeem the Personal Sub, then upgrade to the Family Sub after which should restore me back to my current setup.
So, a warning if your subscription is expiring soon (IE: you've started receiving emails saying it's about to expire)... you might not be able to redeem it.
Nord has been changing these plans around for a while now. Only way I could tell what plan I was on is by looking at past purchases and redemptions. You can see what is "included" with your last purchases to try and determine what plan you are on.A couple months ago I stacked 5 codes on my account that had one year left. What sucks is on the website it says my subscription renews 2028 but on the Nord app it says it renews 2032 which is the correct date.

Warning - Microsoft says a Microsoft 365 home subscription can only be extended up to 5 years, and if you add too many subscriptions you get a redemption failure. This means - as of now, you cannot stack up and extend to May 2031. I guess this might help folks here.

How far into the process did you go? Or did you actually fully redeem the code, and now the website shows you as being on a Personal plan? I ask because for me it showed the same thing. I got to step "4 of 4", it was showing that I would have a personal subscription until "end of my current family subscription + 1 year" date, but when I clicked the "confirm" or whatever button, that's when it showed me the new "+ 9 months" date instead. Basically, I had to trust that the process would work even when it looked like I might end up inadvertently converting to a Personal subscription.

They check matching address or credit cards, I tried them all at one point.
But in 2022 I was able to buy one of the same bundle every 48 hours or something, not sure if this is still possible.
That might work, the email from Newegg does say "items with limited quantity have a cap on how many you can buy within 48 hours".
