I think it's a great bag for the money, as the construction isn't bad and it has a lot of interesting features. Some of the dimensions are just over airline limits for a personal item.

Agree it looks pretty feature packed for the money. I do wish there are other color choices.

I have this bag. The layout is kind of strange. I wouldn't use it as a "daily" bag but definitely a great travel bag.

Would you guess the construction on this is better than some of the cheap travel bags on Amazon? I've had pretty good luck with Ozark trail and wonder if this would be better than the no name stuff.

This bag is a dupe of the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC 30L backpack (msrp $200), and looks to be a pretty good one at that. Obviously won't be quite as well-constructed as the original, nor does it have the great warranty or sustainable construction, however if you're on a budget this seems like a pretty great alternative. Definitely a bummer there aren't other colors available though.
Walmart's been doing quite a bit more dupe products lately with their in-house brands, a lot of the budget Ozark Trail stuff has been getting pretty solid in terms of quality so I'd guess this is probably a pretty great travel backpack for $30.

Went to Walmart today to pick this up, quality looks good, size is big at 30L (should fit under the seat). But there is only one zipper pocket on top that would be easy to access while on a plane, the other useful pockets are on the side, which would be challenging to get to from your airplane seat. Got this backpack, instead: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-...7419309179
Not a SD, but meet my needs. Also, it expands like a suitcase. Would be useful when traveling my car, but would make it too tall to fit under an airplane seat.
Edit: I also have a cheap copy from Amazon, in which the padding is ridiculously large and heavy. The OP bag is thin but seems strong, would have picked this up if I didn't already have one this size.

I have a 60l I got from Amazon that's been passing as a personal item. Of course if they check me I'm done. It's just that since it sits on my back and I'm a fairly large guy it looks small haha. But man I really need to stop buying bags. The blue color is my favorite

I'm not familiar with this specific bag but in the world of backpack dorks Ozark trail has a decent reputation for making incredibly cheap but pretty decent bags including a couple of unique designs which is rare in the low $ world of backpacks.

As a backpack dweeb I'll opine on this one:

Killer price, amazing price. You can't get anything like this for even double this price.

The coated polyester, the plasticy fabric of this bag, is a mixed blessing. It's waterproof and durable and relatively light but.. it delaminates and gets super ugly, especially in humid environments but you'll get a good amount of use out of it and even very high end bags are using similar fabrics because they're popular for the reasons I meantioned earlier.

The pockets are a bit odd on this. It would be perfect if you were traveling with a fanny pack too but the quick grab opportunities are pretty lacking.

Overall you can't go wrong for this orice
